LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AWAY!–LEC BIRTHDAY PARTY & BASKET RAFFLE
Mark your calendar, & spread the word! The Life Enrichment Center is celebrating its 45th Birthday on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 10 am to 2 pm. We’ll have art vendors, a basket raffle, a silent auction, and more.

• RAFFLE TICKETS: Tickets are now available for purchase online and in person  ($3 per ticket; 4 tickets for $10). Click HERE to purchase online.

• RAFFLE BASKETS ON DISPLAY: The Raffle Baskets are now on display at the L.E.C.  Come check out the amazing assortment! There’s something for everyone–food, wine, golf, movies, art, massages, and more–45 baskets for 45 years. Once you buy your tickets, you can drop them in the jars of your favorite baskets. The drawing will be held at the end of the Birthday Celebration on Saturday, November 8, but you do not need to be present to win.

• VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!  Volunteers are needed for 2-hour shifts to help with various tasks during the Birthday Bash. If you are interested, there is a sign up sheet at the L.E.C., call (813) 932-0241, or email info@LECtampa.org.

Class, Workshop, & Club News

• BRIDGE GOING ON HIATUS: This Friday, October 31 (1-3pm), will be the last Bridge session until 2026.

• BOOK CLUB 2.0 NOVEMBER SELECTION: Read or listen to Florida by Lauren Groff, then join the discussion at 10am on Monday, November 24 at the Panera on N. Dale Mabry. Call (813) 932-0241 for directions. (Note: This book may have content not suitable for all readers.)

• WATERCOLOR 101: Washes: Monday, November 3 (10am – 12pm) $10 / $12 No experience necessary–all levels welcome. The basis for most watercolor paintings is a wash. Learn and practice various wash methods in this hands-on class. Email info@lectampa.org, call (813) 932-0241, or just stop by. PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

• WEEKDAY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:  Please email info@LECtampa.org or talk to Bev if you are interested in help during the week with a variety of tasks. She will try to pair your skills and interests with our needs.

• THANKSGIBBONS FEAST 2025:  The sign up sheet for this year’s ThanksGibbons Feast (W 11/19 11:30a – 1:30p) is now available. Seating is limited, so sign up soon!

• FLORIDA STATE FAIR 2026: It’s that time again! Start thinking about your entries for the 2026 Creative Living Competitions at the Florida State Fair. Entry Forms will be available at the LEC starting Wednesday, November 12. If you would like the LEC to submit your art, your entry form and fee must be submitted no later than 3pm on Tuesday, November 25.
