Thank you to all the volunteers, vendors, basket raffle and silent auction participants, celebration guests, and behind-the-scenes help who made Saturday’s Birthday Bash a success! It would not have been such an amazing day without you.

It was wonderful to celebrate our milestone 45 years with people who truly care about the Life Enrichment Center and to present our treasured LEC to the community. Thank you again for your support.

Class, Workshop, & Club News

• The LEC will be CLOSED on Tuesday, November 11 in honor of Veterans Day. Classes will resume on Wednesday, November 12.
• PHOTO CLUB ONLINE: The Photo Club will meet online on Wednesday, November 12 (1:30-3pm). The November Photo Challenge is Food Trucks. Make sure you upload your photos soon. Call (813) 932-0241 or email info@LECtampa.org if you have questions.

• IMAGE-TO-COPPER TRANSFER: On Friday, November 14 from 1 – 3pm ($10/$12), jeweler/instructor, Debra Joy Peisner, will lead an Image Transfer workshop! Learn to scribe and deepen an image from a photo onto a copper blank, with your completed project becoming a bookmark, a bracelet cuff, or a mixed media component. Feel free to bring a basic photo if you’d like, or you can use our image. Debra will demonstrate Etching and Patina so color will be added. Also, an “at home” kit will be available for $15. • WATERCOLOR PAINT-ALONG: Start your week immersed in creativity at Roxanne Tobaison’s Watercolor Paint-along workshop on Monday, November 17 (9:30am – 12pm; $20/$30). Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a beginner eager to explore, this delightful session welcomes all levels. Picture this: painting two vibrant cardinals perched on a snow-kissed branch. It’s not just about capturing a scene; it’s about bringing textures to life with every brush stroke. • CONNECT THROUGH LITERATURE: Read or listen to Florida by Lauren Groff, then join the discussion at 10am on Monday, November 24 (Note: This book may have content not suitable for all readers.)

• FLORIDA STATE FAIR 2026: It’s that time again! Start thinking about your entries for the 2026 Creative Living Competitions at the Florida State Fair.  Entry Forms and Handbooks with divisions, classes, and entry guidelines (including the new rock painting and patriotic art categories) will be available at the LEC starting Wednesday, November 12. If you would like the LEC to submit your art, your entry form and fee must be submitted no later than 3pm on Tuesday, November 25.

• THANKSGIBBONS FEAST 2025:  The sign up sheet for this year’s ThanksGibbons Feast (W 11/19 11:30a – 1:30p) is now available. Seating is limited, so reserve your spot today!

• WEEKDAY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:  Please email info@LECtampa.org or talk to Bev if you are interested in help during the week with a variety of tasks. She will try to pair your skills and interests with our needs.
