Weekly News: May 26 – 30

The L.E.C. will be CLOSED for Memorial Day (May 26). No Painting with Rick, Intro to Mah Jongg, or Chair Yoga that day.

WORKSHOP REGISTRATION DEADLINE: If you are interested in the Watercolor workshop with guest instructor, Roxanne Tobiason, that is scheduled for Monday, June 9 (9:30am -12pm),  please sign up & pay in full on or before Friday, May 30. Thank you.

Class & Club News

• BOOK CLUB 2.0: On Monday, May 26 at 10am, Book Club 2.0 will meet at Panera on N. Dale Mabry to discuss this month’s selection, discuss Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Süskind (John E. Woods, translator). If you have read (or listened to) this suspense novel, you are welcome to join them!

• BEGINNING CONVERSATIONAL SPANISH UPDATE:   Beginning Conversational Spanish will meet on Tuesday, May 27 from 1 – 3pm. No experience necessary. Register online here, or you can email info@lectampa.org or call (813) 932-0241 for more information.

• PHOTO CLUB OUTING: On Wednesday, May 28 the Photo Club will meet in Centennial Park (Ybor City) at 10 am. Please email info@lectampa.org if you would like more information. The trip is open to anyone.

• LYRICS AS POEMS: On Thursdays from 10:30am – 12pm, the Poetry class meets online and in person. The topic for this week is “Song Lyrics: Writing the Music of Words”. No experience necessary. Register online here, or you can email info@lectampa.org or call (813) 932-0241 for more informaiton.
