IT’S PARTY TIME!!!
THE LEC BIRTHDAY PARTY IS THIS SATURDAY! Mark your calendar & spread the word! The Life Enrichment Center is celebrating its 45th Birthday on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 10 am to 2 pm. Come check out our art & craft vendors, basket raffle, silent auction, food vendor, art show, and more. It’s the event of the year—everyone’s invited!

• RAFFLE TICKETS: Tickets are now available for purchase online and in person  ($3 per ticket; 4 tickets for $10). Click HERE to purchase online or stop by the L.E.C. to purchase in person (cash, check, or card). Please let your family and friends know about the basket raffle and how to purchase tickets.  There’s even a way to participate if one can’t get to the LEC in person.

• RAFFLE BASKETS ON DISPLAY: The Raffle Baskets are now on display at the L.E.C.  Come check out the amazing assortment! There’s something for everyone–food, wine, golf, movies, art, massages, and more–45 baskets for 45 years.  The drawing will be held at the end of the Birthday Celebration on Saturday, November 8, but you do not need to be present to win. • EARLY SILENT AUCTION: The Silent Auction doesn’t officially start until 10am on November 8, but you have a chance to buy the items before they go to auction! Click HERE to learn how to “Buy Now” and see the list of Silent Auction items.  (Please share this link with family and friends.)

• VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!  Volunteers are needed for 2-hour shifts to help with various tasks during the Birthday Bash. If you are interested, there is a sign up sheet at the L.E.C., call (813) 932-0241, or email info@LECtampa.org.

• CONNECT THROUGH LITERATURE: Read or listen to Florida by Lauren Groff, then join the discussion at 10am on Monday, November 24 at the Panera on N. Dale Mabry. Call (813) 932-0241 for directions. (Note: This book may have content not suitable for all readers.)

• WEEKDAY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:  Please email info@LECtampa.org or talk to Bev if you are interested in help during the week with a variety of tasks. She will try to pair your skills and interests with our needs.

• THANKSGIBBONS FEAST 2025:  The sign up sheet for this year’s ThanksGibbons Feast (W 11/19 11:30a – 1:30p) is now available. Seating is limited, so sign up soon!

• FLORIDA STATE FAIR 2026: It’s that time again! Start thinking about your entries for the 2026 Creative Living Competitions at the Florida State Fair. Entry Forms will be available at the LEC starting Wednesday, November 12. If you would like the LEC to submit your art, your entry form and fee must be submitted no later than 3pm on Tuesday, November 25.

• Wednesday, November 12 (1:30 – 3pm):  Photo Club meeting online.  November Photo Challenge:  Food Trucks
• Friday, November 14 (1-3pm): Image-to-copper Transfer Workshop w/Debra Joy Peisner ($10/$12). PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED on or before November 12 (NO WALK-INS) Learn to scribe and deepen an image from a photo onto a copper blank with your completed project becoming a bookmark or a bracelet cuff.
• Monday, November 17 (9:30am – 12pm): Watercolor workshop w/Roxanne Tobaison ($20/$30) PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED on or before November 13 (NO WALK-INS) Paint two vibrant cardinals perched on a snow-kissed branch with a focus on bringing textures to life.
