Weekly News: Nov 17 edition

THANKSGIBBONS FEAST 2025:  If you signed up for this year’s ThanksGibbons Feast, it will be held this Wednesday, November 11 from 11:30a – 1:30pm. The following class times will shift:

• Open Studio (9 – 11am),
• Yarn Arts Club (9 – 11am),
• Beginning Conversational Spanish (moved to Tuesday, 11/18 11:30am – 1:30pm), &
• Intermediate/Advanced Open Play Mah Jongg (2-4:30pm).

FLORIDA STATE FAIR 2026: L.E.C. Entry Form Deadline Tuesday, November 25 If you are a current L.E.C. member and you would like the Life Enrichment Center to submit your art for the 2026 Creative Living Competitions at the Florida State Fair, your entry form and fee must be submitted to the L.E.C. no later than 3pm on Tuesday, November 25.

Entry Forms and Handbooks for all categories with divisions, classes, and entry guidelines are now available at the Life Enrichment Center.  You do NOT submit your art yet, only the entry form and fee!

• WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP WITH ROXANNE: On Monday, November 17 from 9:30am – 12pm ($20/$30), artist Roxanne Tobaison will lead a watercolor paint-along workshop featuring an adorable pair of cardinals in a snowy setting. • READ AND CHAT: Read or listen to Florida by Lauren Groff, then join the discussion at 10am on Monday, November 24 (Note: This book may have content not suitable for all readers.)
