February Potluck:

• FOOD WITH FRIENDS: Our February Potluck will be Wednesday, February 5 from 12 – 1 pm. The guest speaker, artist Jay Coachman, will be discussing his art and the upcoming 3^rd annual Black Arts Gala.

Class News

• INTRO TO MAH JONGG: Starts Monday, February 3 from 1 – 3:30pm.  This 8-week class with instructor Alice Webb will teach you the basics including strategy.  By the time you finish the class, you will be able to play with confidence. • MAH JONGG TIME SHIFT on FEBRUARY 5 : Intermediate/Advanced Open Play Mah Jongg will be from 1:30-4pm on Wednesday February 5 ONLY.

• PAINT WITH WORDS: Poetry class meets on Thursdays from 10:30am – 12pm online and in person. The topic for this week is In the Style of Emily Dickenson. No experience necessary.  You may attend even if you missed previous weeks. Club News

• WALKING CLUB: Monday, February 3 at Rowlett Park. To carpool, meet at the LEC at 9 am and leave the LEC at 9:10 am.  To meet the group at Rowlett Park, enter from the Riverhills Dr. entrance and turn right. We’ll gather at the nearest parking lot and will start walking at 9:30am. Anyone interested in joining the Monday morning Walking Club outing this week, please email Arleen at grants@lectampa.org for details. Include your cell phone number.

• PHOTO CLUB OUTING:The Photo Club will meet at Eureka Springs on Wednesday, February 5 at 10 am.  The park’s pair of eagles are on the nest again this year, and the LEC Photo Club has been given permission to enter the Rangers-only section to photograph the pair and their nest.  Park admission is $2 per vehicle. There is an automated pay station in the parking lot that takes $1 bills or credit card.
