Announcements for week of November 11 – 17
Announcements: Week of November 11th – November 17th
Did you know…
In 1938, November 11th became a federal holiday. Not Veterans Day, but Armistice Day, commemorating the signing of the agreement that ended World War I at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. In 1954, Armistice Day was changed to Veterans Day to honor all those who had served during wartime in the two World Wars and in Korea. It has since been expanded to honor anyone who has served in the military and as a day to recognize and address the special needs of veterans and their families.
To all the veterans at the LEC, thank you for your service: Rick Austin, Campbell Buchannan, John Chaplick, Steven Elliott (Bell), Tim Gibbons, Betty Hagan, Marty Kledzik, Patricia Korducavich, & Lionel Sanchez
