Chinese brush painting is one of the oldest artistic traditions in the world. Join instructor Renee Vickery in learning the beautiful brushworks and stylings of this ancient art.

In part 2 of this class, students will continue learning the brushstrokes and traditional techniques of Chinese brush painting. Students will practice holding and guiding their brush, experiment with varying degrees of pressure, speed, and ink washes, and learn traditional techniques to create an array of different effects.

Students can expect a broad introduction to the art of Chinese brush painting, including the most fundamental concepts, styles, and techniques. Weekly demonstrations of techniques as well as individual guidance and instruction can be expected. Artists of all levels are welcome!
