Enjoy a yoga practice that supports everyone, regardless of their experience level or physical ability. Beginners and seasoned students alike are welcomed to sign up for this course. With direction from the guide, you decide how you want to modify each pose by choosing the limit and extent of each movement. All movements are adaptable to fit your needs.
Yoga instructor Natalie Courtney will guide students through a gentle, low-impact session that focuses on improving flexibility, building core strength, and encouraging a wide range of motion. Students will also work on cultivating a deeper state of awareness and concentration to bring lightness, ease, and clarity to the mind, body, and spirit.
With her unique teaching style, Natalie will guide the class through the most essential yoga poses for creating openness, inner peace, and healing from the inside out. She will also focus the class on the core themes of gratitude, love, and surrender to quiet the mind and cultivate inner peace.
Students will need to bring a solid, stationary chair, a strap, and water. Students are also encouraged to wear loose, comfortable clothing and comfortable shoes. Yoga mats will not be needed since students will not be getting on the floor during this class. Finally, please bring an open mind and prepare to be present in the moment!
Chair yoga is great for loosening and stretching muscles, improving balance and mobility, increasing flexibility, reducing stress in the mind and body, improving circulation, building strength, and promoting tranquility.
