Announcements: Week of August 13

Class Notes

-This Friday, August 18^th, will be Week One of Art Journaling with Vickie Fisher. The class will meet in person from 10am-12pm for four weeks.

-The deadline for the LEC Anthology manuscripts is fast approaching. Your submissions of poems, nonfiction, short stories, and creative nonfiction should be sent to Arleen Mariotti by August 25. Send to: [email protected] and type “Anthology” in the subject line.

–Photo Club meeting via zoom is Wednesday, Aug. 16 from 1:30 – 3pm. The theme is “Aviation.”

-The Matinee Movie on Thursday, Aug. 24 will be The Dig from 3:30-5 pm. We provide popcorn!

Other News

-Are you interested in teaching painting at an assisted living facility as part of the LEC’s outreach program? We need instructors! This is once-a-month and you would be compensated.  If you’re interested, talk to Arleen.

-The Celebration of Life for Mary Frances will be on Saturday, August 26^th, from 10am-12pm.
