Announcements for Week of September 8th – 14th
Announcements: Week of September 8th – 14th
Did you know…
Triskaidekaphobia, the fear of the number thirteen, has ancient origins. This fear can be seen in hotels that lack a thirteenth floor and airplanes without a thirteenth row. Even Hammurabi’s Code from more than 3,000 years ago left out the number 13.
Phobias such as triskaidekaphobia are a form of anxiety. Research has shown that art can reduce anxiety. This extends not only to creating art, but even to looking at art or watching art being created. So if you suffer from triskaidekaphobia or some other fear, try turning to art to calm your brain.
