Announcements for the Week of September 15 – 22

Announcements: Week of September 15th – 21th

Did you know…

Inspiration sometimes be hard to find.  Have you ever stared at a blank canvas, screen, or paper with no idea what to create?  One possible source of inspiration is the abundance of daily holidays. From days celebrating various pets, hobbies, and people to holidays all about food and drink, on most days there is at least one non-traditional holiday.  For example, September 21 is National Chai Day.  You could celebrate by drinking a chai tea latte.  Or you could use it for inspiration.  Write a story or poem involving chai in some way.  Draw or paint a still life of a steaming cup of chai.  Bake and decorate cupcakes inspired by chai flavors.  You could even decide to tea-stain cloth or paper or maybe even try painting with tea.  Just by looking up a daily holiday, creative block can be eliminated.
